Agostino Ricupati

Agostino Ricupati is the Chief Accounting Officer & SVP, Finance & Tax at The Cooper Companies. Agostino has over 20 years of experience in international tax and has previously worked at Intel Corporation as the International Tax Director.

Ricupati has been instrumental in streamlining the tax compliance process and reducing the compliance timeframe by a few months. Agostino has also executed a cash repatriation strategy which allowed the Company to extract several billions dollars of cash with zero financial impact. In addition, they have liaised with the transfer price team to implement a strategy to boost E&P in a large foreign group in order to be able to absorb newly acquired losses (over $50 million after tax value) and withholding tax expenses.

Ricupati has reduced external spending by $250K annually, by bringing in house the preparation and review of disclosures and by retaining control of the critical compliance components while outsourcing routine tasks. Agostino has also lead training and support to US staff and international teams via a series of training classes to enable broader participation in the critical aspects of compliance and planning.

Agostino Ricupati has a Master’s Degree in Taxation and Accounting from De Paul University, as well as a BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
