Brooks Hoste has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brooks is currently the Director of Communications at The Country Club of Detroit. Prior to that, they founded their own freelance graphic design and brand strategy firm called Broox:Design, where they served as the President and Creative Director. Brooks also held positions at The War Memorial, starting as the Manager of Communications and Programming, and later being promoted to Vice President of Community Engagement and Programming. Brooks has experience in overseeing programming initiatives, marketing strategies, and managing finances and staffing. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Music at Redeemer United Methodist Church and as a Vocal Music Accompanist and Coach at Fraser High School. Earlier in their career, Brooks served as the Creative Director at Shoreline Graphics, Inc. and worked as a Graphic Designer in the same company. Throughout their career, they have developed expertise in strategic marketing, branding, communications, and event management.
Brooks Hoste received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance, with a focus on Piano and Voice, from Concordia University Ann Arbor. Brooks also pursued a minor in Theatre during their time at the university.
In addition to their bachelor's degree, Brooks has obtained certifications in leadership excellence through Disney Institute, specifically the "Disney's Approach to Leadership Excellence" program.
