Jorina Fontelera has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to marketing, communications, and public relations. Jorina most recently served as the Vice President of Marketing at The Cradle, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Marketing Communications Manager at Stepan Company from 2016 to 2023. From 2014 to 2016, Jorina was the Director of Communications at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest. Before that, they held the position of Manager of Public Relations & External Communications at Burke Rehabilitation Center from 2011 to 2014. Jorina's earlier experiences include working as a Web Content Writer at Livestrong Foundation / Demand Studios from 2009 to 2014, an Online Media and Public Relations role at the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants from 2010 to 2011, and a Managing Editor position at Thomas Publishing in 2008. Jorina also served as an Associate Editor at Reed Business Information from 2004 to 2008. Throughout their career, Jorina has demonstrated skills in copywriting, content creation, public relations, media relations, video production, social media management, event planning, and communications strategy development.
Jorina Fontelera obtained their Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Lasell University in 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing Intensive English at Marquette University in 2004. In addition to their formal education, Jorina also obtained certifications in Change Management for Projects and Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in March 2020.

Our holistic approach to lifelong support is unlike any other adoption and child welfare agency in the nation. Our team of social workers, counselors, and outreach staff offer trustworthy, ethical, and lifelong support to tens of thousands of people touched by adoption, including birth parents, adopted persons, and adoptive parents. Services include options counseling for women facing unplanned pregnancies, pre and post adoption education for parents, an adoption-competent clinical therapy program, outreach and education, and placement services. The Cradle is the only adoption agency in the country with an on-site nursery. It is a safe, neutral place for infants to stay while their parents take the time they need to decide if adoption will be the plan for this child. The nursery also enables The Cradle to place infants whose special medical needs may mean that it takes a bit longer to find them a home that is prepared to help them thrive. We also offer training for prospective adoptive parents and adoption professionals through Adoption Learning Partners (ALP).
