The Crucible
Carla Hall has extensive experience in the field of metalwork and arts education. Carla currently serves as the Director of Education at The Crucible, a position they have held since 2016. Prior to this, Carla was the Principal at Carla Hall Metal Design since 2005, where they specialized in designing and building architectural and garden structures, furniture, and sculpture. Before their role at Carla Hall Metal Design, they worked at The Crucible as the Youth Program Director from 2000 to 2015.
Carla Hall began their education in 1993 at Earlham College, where they pursued studies in geology and fine art. Carla attended the college until 1996, but did not obtain a degree during this time. Continuing their education, they enrolled at The Evergreen State College from 1997 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in fine arts and a focus on sculpture. Lastly, in 2010, Carla Hall studied Construction Management and Project Management at California State University, concluding their education in 2012.

Through training in the fine and industrial arts, The Crucible promotes creative expression, reuse of materials, and innovative design while serving as an accessible arts venue for the general public.
