Rachel George

Rachel George is an experienced journalist with a background in various editorial roles across multiple publications. Currently serving as the Executive Regional Editor for The Daily Nonpareil, Columbus Telegram, and Fremont Tribune since October 2023, Rachel previously held the position of Editor at Gretna Breeze from October 2017 to May 2022. Early career experiences include roles as a Reporter at Papillion Times and Messenger at Omaha World-Herald, where Rachel was involved in research, reporting, and assisting with newsroom operations. Rachel also contributed to MaverickPR and served in several capacities at UNO Gateway Student Newspaper, showcasing skills in writing, editing, layout design, and community engagement. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has studied at the University of Bergen.
