Charity L. Cohen is a dedicated journalist with experience as a Reporter at Alamance News since October 2022 and as a Staff Writer for The Daily Tar Heel since September 2020, focusing on arts and culture events and amplifying issues relevant to communities of color and the LGBTQ community. Previously, Charity served as a Creative Development Intern at Crooked Media, where responsibilities included supporting podcast production and coordinating scheduling, as well as completing necessary research and transcription work. While at the UNC School of Media and Journalism, Charity worked as a Sports Xtra Anchor and student journalist, producing broadcast stories focused on UNC athletics. Charity earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Journalism, specializing in Broadcast Journalism, from UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, attending from 2019 to 2022, after graduating from Trinity High School in 2018.
