Arnessa Garrett

Arnessa Garrett is an experienced journalist currently serving as Enterprise Editor at The Dallas Morning News since May 2019, where responsibilities include editing for various teams, particularly in politics, city government, and COVID-related projects. Previously, Arnessa held the position of Assistant Business Editor at The Dallas Morning News from August 2010 to August 2018, managing a team of reporters on topics such as retail, energy, and technology, and overseeing significant projects like Amazon's HQ search and the AT&T/Time Warner merger. Arnessa also served as Assistant Metro Editor, managing a team focused on municipal government and education in eastern Dallas County, and worked as a copy editor at the Boston Globe Media and The Times-Picayune. Arnessa holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Tulane University and a Certificat from Sciences Po, along with a Knight-Wallace Fellowship from the University of Michigan.
