Irwin Thompson

Irwin Thompson is an experienced visual journalist with over three decades in the field. Since April 1990, Thompson has held various roles at The Dallas Morning News, including Deputy Director of Visual Journalism, Photo Editor, and Senior Staff Photographer. Prior to this, Thompson was a Staff Photographer at The New Orleans Times-Picayune from October 1987 to April 1990. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photojournalism from the University of Louisiana Monroe, earned between 1979 and 1984.
