John McCaa

John McCaa, Ph.D., currently serves as a Contributing Columnist for The Dallas Morning News since October 2023 and has been self-employed as a Writer and Writing Consultant since March 2019. With longstanding experience at WFAA-TV since June 1984 as an Anchor and News Anchor, McCaa also worked as a Reporter/News Anchor at WOWT-TV from November 1976 to May 1984. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities: History of Ideas from The University of Texas at Dallas, a Master of Politics from The University of Dallas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Creighton University. A high school diploma was obtained from Madrid/Torrejon High School in Spain.
