As a University Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines Diliman since September 2022, Richard teaches and engages with students on various topics. With extensive experience as a columnist for Philippine Daily Inquirer and as a contributor to notable publications like Forbes, The National News, Al Jazeera Media Network, Nikkei Asian Review, and South China Morning Post, Richard specializes in analysis on Philippine and emerging markets economy and politics, as well as significant geopolitical issues. Additionally, Richard holds a Professorial Chair in Geopolitics at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and has been a Research Fellow at National Chengchi University since 2019.
