Alberto Ortega Hinojosa is an accomplished data and insights professional with extensive experience in health research and data visualization. Currently serving as the Data & Insights Officer at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Alberto has previously held key positions including Principal Researcher & Data Visualization Solutions Lead at the American Institutes for Research and Principal Associate at IMPAQ International. Alberto has a strong background in project leadership, strategic planning, and policy advocacy, demonstrated through a variety of roles that include Chair of the Events and Networking Board at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health Alumni Association and Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for Elders Independence. Alberto holds a PhD in Public Health - Environmental Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Masters of Public Health and a BA in Behavioral Neuroscience from Yale University.
