Chad English

Chad English is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in science policy and program management. Currently serving as a Science Program Officer at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation since May 2015, Chad previously held the position of Chairman Of The Board at Wilkinson School from May 2017 to June 2022, where leadership was provided to the K-8 community school. Chad’s career includes roles such as Director of Science Policy Outreach at COMPASS from January 2007 to April 2015, and significant positions with the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate related to science policy. Additionally, Chad began a career in hydrology and web development at the US Geological Survey, contributing to public access of real-time environmental data. Academic achievements include a PhD in Oceanography from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
