The Deep
Graham Hill has a strong background in animal care and research, with their most recent role being the Head of Animal Care and Research at The Deep since 2001. In this role, they were responsible for veterinary care for various types of animals, developed academic links with universities, managed a database of clinical and behavioral data, and conducted animal training. Prior to that, they worked as the Head Aquarist at Deep Sea World from 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Dundee from 1993 to 1996, where they focused on fish physiology, parasitology, and immunology.
Graham Hill completed their education from 1982 to 1989 at Horsforth School, where no degree or field of study information is provided. Following that, from 1989 to 1993, they attended the University of Dundee, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology. Lastly, from 1996 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marine Resource Development and Protection from Heriot-Watt University.

The Deep
The Deep, one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world is located in Hull, East Yorkshire. This award-winning visitor attraction is home to spectacular sharks, rays, turtles and a colony of Gentoo penguins. The dramatic building overlooks the Humber estuary and is only a few minutes’ walk from the Museums Quarter and Hull Marina.
