Michael Lane has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center as a Senior Project Engineer from November 1989 to August 1995. Michael then worked at EDS, an HP Company, as a Managing Consultant from August 1995 to January 2001, leading management consulting engagements for federal and state government agencies. After that, they joined Organic as a Group Director, Client Services/Engagement Management from January 2001 to August 2006, where they led cross-brand marketing and functionality teams and completed multiple website and shopping tool redesigns for clients. Since August 2006, they have been with The Designory, initially as the Managing Director in Nashville until March 2011 and then as the Managing Director in Chicago. In their current role, they lead a 150+ person office specializing in digital marketing, content and production services for various clients.
Michael Lane completed their Executive Masters degree in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania in the years 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University between 1985 and 1989. Michael also holds a certification in Foundations of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn, which was obtained in 2023.
