Rich Slevin

Director at The Detection Group

Rich is the founder and president of ODI, where he has developed and manufactured countless consumer, commercial, military, and medical electronic products since 1993. Rich purchased Dtection, Inc. in 2013 and is now a major stockholder in The Detection Group.

Among other innovative products, Rich is responsible for the development of the first PC camera - the Connectix Quickcam, and the first LCD picture frame - the Kensington PhotoFrame. Rich has been leading and inventing new products at the rate of about a dozen a year for OEM customers.

In 2008, Rich spun out his second company, Spracht, an acclaimed innovater in the teleconferencing and video conferencing markets. Previously, Rich was VP at a Kyocera subsidiary where he expanded Kyocera’s manufacturing into low-cost Southeast Asia locations. In total, he has created and incubated 7 successful technology companies.
