Johan Nel

Johan Nel is an experienced professional in the field of explosive ordnance disposal and improvised explosive device disposal, currently serving as an IEDD/EOD Mentor at The Development Initiative Limited since May 2024. Prior to this role, Johan worked at The Development Initiative Limited from July 2017 to October 2023 as an Assistant and MPV driver after a UN contract in Mali concluded. Johan's earlier experience includes operations support and training in IEDD and EOD at Dynasafe from July 2016 to June 2017, as well as serving as a Sergeant in the South African Police Service from January 2003 to July 2016. Johan completed high school education at Pietersburg High School from 1997 to 2002.
