Diana Nakib has a diverse work experience in various positions and organizations. Diana is currently a PHD Candidate at the University Health Network, starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Finance at The College Diabetes Network in 2019, where they acquired sponsorships and maintained budgetary records for events, while advocating for equitable treatment for students with Type 1 Diabetes. In 2019, they also worked as a Department of Immunology Thesis Student at the University of Toronto, conducting research on B lymphocyte maturation under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Martin. Additionally, they participated in the Department of Immunology Summer Research Program in 2019. In 2018, Diana worked in Public Relations at NMCCESI. Diana also served as a Research Analyst at the Behavioural Economics Student Group in 2018. In 2017, they gained research experience as a Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Summer Researcher and a Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Work Study Researcher at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, they were the Sponsorships and Logistics Coordinator at the North American Model United Nations (NAMUN) from 2016 to 2017. In 2015, Diana volunteered at the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL).
Diana Nakib completed their education in a chronological order. From 2010 to 2016, they attended the American Community School of Abu Dhabi and received their International Baccalaureate Diploma. Later, they pursued their higher education at the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained an Hons Bachelor of Science degree. Diana'sfield of study during their university years focused on Immunology, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology.
