Akshaj Gaur is a News Editor and General Assignments Editor at The Diamondback, covering critical news in Prince George's County. Akshaj has also worked as a Software Elections Assistant at The Associated Press and a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland developing synthetic data generation tools. Additionally, Akshaj has experience as a Teaching Assistant in computer science courses and has interned as a Software Engineer at Capital One and First Republic Bank. Prior to this, Akshaj worked as a MLB and NFL Writer, Math Instructor, and Software Engineer Intern at various organizations. Akshaj is currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of Maryland.
