Dr. Meg Layton

Volunteer Speaker at The Diana Initiative

Dr. Meg Layton is a seasoned professional in cybersecurity with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving in Security Architecture and Engineering at Children's National Hospital since April 2021, Dr. Layton is also a Technical Mentor for CyberPatriot teams, an Adjunct Faculty Member at Albertus Magnus College teaching Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics, and actively involved with The Diana Initiative and the Women's Society of Cyberjutsu. Previous roles include Security and Compliance Engineering Lead at Accenture and Director of Engineering at Symantec. Dr. Layton holds a Doctorate in Information Assurance from the University of Fairfax and has a strong background in IT management, systems integration, and security product development, complemented by a diverse educational foundation including a Master's in Telecommunications and Computing Management from New York University.
