Al Rollins

Over three decades, Elwyin “Al” Rollins has established a career as a leader and senior executive in the field of law enforcement, excelling in the areas of criminal intelligence, major crimes, data and analysis, and leadership principles. Applying best practices in information sharing and intelligence, Al is highly regarded as a law enforcement/criminal intelligence investigations expert.

Al served the agency and his community in the Uniformed Patrol Division, Special Operations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and ultimately the Office of the Sheriff, where he directed the Central Florida Intelligence Exchange (CFIX) a Fusion Center, and the Criminal Intelligence Unit.

As the Director of CFIX, Al was responsible for the intelligence needs of the nine counties within the Regional Domestic Security Task Force Region 5. Additionally, Al worked closely with organizational leadership, including the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (Joint Terrorism Task Force). Considered an authority in the field of intelligence, he focused on building professional partnerships with private sector entities, in an effort to leverage possible sources and resources as a means to collect, and analyze information that would later be disseminated as intelligence information. The focus areas of CFIX included Domestic Terrorism, International Terrorism, and Cyber Terrorism.
