Robert A. LeGrande II

Mr. LeGrande, via his company, The Digital Decision (TDD), has been one of Verizon’s chief consultants and architects of Verizon’s nationwide public safety broadband communications strategy. In this role, TDD has helped design and implement an upgrade of Verizon’s public safety broadband communications products and services. Verizon’s resulting market investments and competitive market position have significantly contributed to improved nationwide public safety communications, all while lowering costs to federal, state, and local governments.

Formerly Chief Technology Officer for the District of Columbia government, Mr. LeGrande led DC's Public Safety Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network upgrade and as a result DC and National Capitol Region received the highest interoperability rating offered by the Department of Homeland Security in 2007. In addition, LeGrande led the development of the nation's first two city-wide public safety 700MHz wireless broadband networks.
