Mel Rees has over two decades of experience in creative roles and leadership positions. They began their career in 1997 as a Creative Group Head at Reed Business Information, where they stayed until 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they served as a Creative Director at Brand Deli, specializing in brand strategy, communication, design, and production.
Next, they worked as a Freelance Creative Director at Engage Bee and TPN from 2015 to 2019, before joining BizDevPros as a Programme Director for a brief period in 2017. They then transitioned to freelance work again and served as a Creative Director at Freelance and The BrandDeli from 2019 to 2021. Most recently, Mel Rees has been working at The Donkey Sanctuary, initially as an Interim Creative Services Head and Interim Creative Director from 2020 to 2021, before taking on their current roles of Head of Creative Communications and Head of Brand and Design in 2021.
From 1987 to 1989, Mel Rees studied Design & Art Direction with a focus on Graphic Communications at the University of the Arts London. Later, from 1996 to 1998, Rees pursued a CIM Diploma in Marketing at the London College of Marketing.
