Before that, they were the Director of Information Technology at Babcock & Wilcox Universal, responsible for the global IT operation. Derek also worked as an IT Manager at Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical and as a Managing Director at Perdue Computer Solutions, where they provided strategic and tactical leadership. Additionally, they have experience as a Church Planting Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Internet Engineer, Hardware and Software Technician, and Director of Security at North Central University.
Derek Perdue has a diverse education history. Derek began their academic journey in 1990 at North Central University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies. Derek successfully completed their studies in 1996.
After a brief hiatus, Derek returned to school in 2001 and attended the University of Phoenix. There, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. Derek completed this program in 2004.
Continuing their educational pursuits, Derek enrolled at Bethel University in 2008. Derek pursued a Masters degree in Philosophy and Theology and successfully completed the program in 2014.
In addition to their formal educational background, Derek has obtained two additional certifications. Derek acquired a Professional Educator Certificate from the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools in December 2022. Furthermore, they earned an Ordination for Ministry from Believer's Fellowship in October 1998.
