Steve Kardian serves as a prominent safety and law enforcement expert with extensive experience in media consultancy, self-defense training, and law enforcement analysis. Since 2003, Steve has been the safety and law enforcement consultant for Inside Edition, providing insights on high-profile cases. Additionally, Steve contributes to The Dr. Oz Show and appears regularly on Fox News Channel and CNN HLN as a law enforcement analyst. Steve leads the Women's Self Defense Institute, certifying instructors in self-defense programs and directs Defend University, focusing on innovative safety technologies. As the owner and lead instructor at Thornwood MMA & Fitness, Steve combines over three decades of martial arts experience and a background as a police sergeant to educate others in self-defense. Furthermore, Steve's expertise led to an appointment on the Advisory Board for Donald J. Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. Steve holds an associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from SUNY Westchester Community College.
