Michael Manikas

Michael Manikas is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in promoting Indigenous interests and bridging the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. As Co-Founder and Director of Biripi Capital, an Aboriginal-owned private equity firm, Michael focuses on closing gaps in education, health, and employment. Additionally, as Co-Founder, Director, and Chairman of The Dreaming Foundation, Michael champions sustainable funding initiatives to support Indigenous communities. The Dreaming Food Group, also co-founded by Michael, aims to provide independent financial backing for these initiatives. Michael's roles extend to various advisory positions, including directorships at INDIart and DLG Shape, where Michael serves as General Manager of a majority Aboriginal-owned construction firm. Furthermore, Michael contributes to higher education as a Casual Lecturer at UNSW and holds advisory positions in diversity and inclusion within the Property Council of Australia. Educational achievements include a Graduate Certificate in Aboriginal Studies and a Bachelor of Building, Construction Economics from the University of Technology Sydney.
