Andrew Acquista

Andrew Acquista is a seasoned music professional with extensive experience in performance and music education. Currently, Andrew performs with Ballet Djelia Kadi, an energetic African drum and dance troupe, and as a professional musician with sol e mar, focusing on Brazilian and world music fusion. Additionally, Andrew has been a performer for The Drum Cafe, primarily engaging with corporate clients. Previous roles include serving as Lesson Coordinator at Sam Ash Music, where Andrew managed educational programs, and contributed to instrument sales. In a notable achievement, Andrew recorded Mbira and various percussion for the film Black Panther. Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Music from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education/Performance from Humboldt State University.
