Gene Cochrane

Gene Cochrane has an extensive career in leadership roles within philanthropic organizations, particularly with The Duke Endowment, where Cochrane served as President and held various positions from 1980 until retirement in 2016. Cochrane's experience includes serving as Interim Executive Director at The Cannon Foundation, Inc. from August 2019 to September 2020 and Interim President and CEO of the Council on Foundations from June 2018 to March 2019. Cochrane pursued higher education at Erskine College from 1966 to 1970 and attended Appalachian State University from 1970 to 1972.
