Mentor For Teachers Undertaking ATS And Chartered Status at The Education and Training Foundation

Dr. Jane Kay is an experienced educator with a significant focus on mathematics and teacher education. Currently serving as an ITE Tutor at the National Institute of Teaching since August 2023, Dr. Kay also volunteers as a mentor for teachers pursuing ATS and Chartered status through The Education and Training Foundation. With previous roles at Blackburn College, including Lecturer in GCSE Maths and Curriculum Lead for Maths and English, Dr. Kay has successfully led initiatives to enhance student outcomes across various educational settings. Dr. Kay has a robust academic background, holding a PhD in Education from The University of Bolton, along with a Master's degree in Adult Numeracy Policy and Practice, and a PGCE. Additional experience includes management roles at Bury College and Accrington & Rossendale College, where Dr. Kay developed advanced teaching strategies and contributed to mathematics curriculum development.
