Lia Opperman currently serves as the Director of Outreach for The Daily Princetonian, where responsibilities include fostering trust within communities and connecting reporters with key community stakeholders. Opperman has held various editorial roles, including Head Investigations Editor and Associate News Editor, overseeing multiple investigative reports and managing content production. Additionally, Opperman is actively involved in research as a Fellow at the Electoral Innovation Lab and as a Research Assistant in the Politics Department at Princeton University, focusing on ranked choice voting and political economy. With a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in journalism, Opperman contributes as a DEIB Committee Member and is engaged with various organizations, including the Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy & Finance and the American Whig-Cliosophic Society.
