Dawn Jason

Occupational Therapist at The Emerge Center

Originally from Galveston but a high school graduate from the Baton Rouge area, Dawn received her undergraduate degree in Family and Child Studies from Louisiana Tech University in 2010 and earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 2013. Dawn first joined the Emerge team in April 2014. After three and a half years, she left to work as a travel OT, practicing in a variety settings primarily with adults. She returned to The Emerge Center in August 2019 and enjoys being back in the pediatric world. Dawn has received additional training in, and is passionate about, treating individuals with feeding disorders, motor planning difficulties, visual-perceptual delays, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. She has become a NeuroNet Certified Provider. She uses her experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist to work with both the child and their family to achieve success. Dawn enjoys the chance to help children reach little and big milestones that promote greater independence and increased participation in daily life activities.
