Karen Palacio has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Karen is currently serving as the Associate Vice President at The END Fund since March 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director from 2017 to 2020 and Director from 2014 to 2017 at the same organization. Before joining The END Fund, Karen worked at the Sabin Vaccine Institute, where they served as a Senior Program Officer from 2009 to 2014, Program Officer from 2007 to 2009, and Program Coordinator from 2006 to 2007 in the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases program. Karen also had a role as a Research and Development Associate at Partners of the Americas from 2005 to 2006 and as an Associate at Arch Street Communications from 2004 to 2005.
Karen Palacio earned a Masters of Public Health degree in Health Policy from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they participated in a semester abroad program at Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2004, where they studied International Business, Latin American Literature, and Latin American Studies. Karen obtained their undergraduate degree in Communications and Latin American Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego from 2000 to 2004.
