Markos Ali

Markos Ali has held various roles in the field of public health and development. Markos is currently working as an Associate Director of Programs at The END Fund, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Survey Coordination Consultant at SCI Foundation - UK from April 2021 to September 2022.

From July 2019 to March 2021, Markos served as a Technical Advisor to the NTD Program at the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia/SCI. Before that, they worked as a Community Development Specialist at Emory University Ethiopia from April 2018 to June 2019.

Markos has extensive experience working with the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia/SCI, where they served as a Program Technical Advisor from October 2014 to March 2018. In this role, they supported the scale-up of the Ethiopian Deworming Program, including drug quantification, coordination of drug distribution, reporting, and advocacy efforts. Markos'sresponsibilities also included coordination between the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, as well as facilitating donor visits for fundraising.

Markos Ali's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Addis Ababa University. Markos then pursued a Masters of Science degree in Tropical and Infectious Diseases from the same university. In addition, Markos obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply chain and Logistics Management from Eaton Business School.

Furthermore, Markos has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. Markos received a Certificate of Membership from the International Association of Public Health Logisticians in June 2022. Markos also completed a course on Supply Chain Management of NTD Health Products for NTD programs offered by the World Health Organization in February 2022.

Additionally, Markos acquired certifications in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning for Development Professionals (MEAL DPro) from the Humanitarian Leadership Academy in November 2020. Markos has also completed courses in Finance Management for development professionals (FMD Pro 1) from APMG in May 2020 and Project Management for development professionals (PMD Pro 1) from APMG International in January 2020.
