Eric Lindhurst

Eric Lindhurst is a seasoned energy professional with extensive experience in energy trading, data science, and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Strategist for Energy Trading at The Energy Authority since April 2020, Eric focuses on developing proprietary trading strategies for virtual markets and FTRs, particularly in the SPP region. Previously, at American Electric Power, Eric held various roles including Senior Data Scientist and Power Market Analyst, where responsibilities encompassed managing data science projects, creating performance metrics, optimizing bidding strategies, and interfacing with market operators. Eric's career began at Duke Energy Corporation, where roles ranged from Systems Engineer for steam turbines to Mechanical Engineering Co-op, providing a strong foundation in plant operations and engineering. Eric holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield and an MBA alongside a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
