Robert Trinnear

Vice President Strategic Innovations & Chief Innovation Officer at The Energy Authority

Robert Trinnear has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Robert started their career as a Financial Planning Analyst at Mirant in 1996 and held various roles including Financial Analyst, Market Research Analyst, Senior Structuring Analyst, Equity Analyst and Trader, and Natural Gas Storage Trader. In 2005, they joined Tyson Foods as a Senior Trader, before returning to The Energy Authority in 2007 as the Director of Risk Management and Financial Trading. In 2011, they established Southern Horizon Consulting where they served as the Managing Director until 2013 when they rejoined The Energy Authority as the Client Services Manager. Robert then progressed within the company to become the Managing Director, East in 2014, and later assumed the role of Vice President Strategic Innovations & Chief Innovation Officer in 2020.

Robert Trinnear has a strong educational background. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management from Trinity College Dublin from 1991 to 1995. In 1998 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Finance from Georgia State University. In 2016 to 2017, Robert obtained an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Robert also holds an additional certification in Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
