Michael Dioha, PhD, is a Senior Energy Researcher at Clean Air Task Force, focusing on alternative energy transition scenarios and decarbonizing power systems in Africa. Additionally, Michael serves as an Editorial Board Member for Environmental Research Letters, contributing expertise in environmental and energy research. As a Senior Energy Specialist at the California Energy Commission, Michael develops and implements energy policies. Michael is also a Fellow at The Energy for Growth Hub, performing analysis and advisory services. Previous roles include Visiting Faculty at Nalanda University, Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Institution for Science, Consultant for the International Renewable Energy Agency, Research Analyst at TERI School of Advanced Studies, and a Doctoral Intern at the Federal Ministry of Environment in Nigeria. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Environment from TERI School of Advanced Studies and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
