James Lloyd Loftis

James Lloyd Loftis is a Partner and Chair of International Dispute Resolution at Vinson and Elkins, a position held since November 1990. In addition, James serves as Vice Chancellor for The Episcopal Diocese of Texas since February 2020 and is an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas at Austin since 2009. From 1997 to 2000, James was a Senior Legal Officer with the United Nations Compensation Commission. Educationally, James holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Juris Doctor (JD) from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in International Law and Legal Studies.
