Attila Brungs serves as the Vice-Chancellor and President of UNSW since January 2022. Prior to this role, Attila Brungs was the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Technology Sydney from September 2009 to November 2021, also holding the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research) during that time. Earlier in the career, Attila Brungs worked at CSIRO from 2002 to 2009, where responsibilities included General Manager for Science Investment, Strategy & Performance, General Manager for Science Investment and Strategy, and General Manager for Business Improvement. The professional journey began at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager between 1998 and 2002. Attila Brungs holds a DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science (Hons 1) in Industrial Chemistry from UNSW.
