Themba Gwejela

Themba Gwejela has a diverse work experience in the marketing and communications fields. Themba is currently working as the Head of Communications at Eskom Pension and Provident Fund since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Marketing at SABC from August 2021 to February 2022. Before joining SABC, they worked as an Independent Marketing Executive from January 2020 to July 2021.

Themba has also founded and served as the Managing Director of Mahusiano (Pty) Ltd from June 2014 to December 2019. In the past, they held key positions at FNB South Africa as the Head of Marketing from April 2015 to October 2016, Momentum as the Head of Marketing - Momentum Retirement Administrators from June 2014 to April 2015, Old Mutual Limited as the Market Development Manager from September 2012 to May 2014, Metropolitan as the Head of Marketing - Metropolitan Retirement Fund Administrators from September 2009 to August 2012, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund as the Communications Manager from September 2008 to August 2009, and Discovery Vitality as the Brand Communications Consultant from June 2007 to August 2008.

Themba Gwejela's education history begins in 2001 when they enrolled at the University of Port Elizabeth. Themba completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2005. In 2007, Themba attended Vega School for a year, where they pursued a BA Honours degree in Brand Leadership. Themba'seducational journey includes these two institutions and two different fields of study within the communications and branding sector.
