Adrian Lowther

Adrian Lowther has a diverse work experience in the field of communications. Adrian is currently the Head of Internal Communications at North Oil Company Qatar since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Internal Communications at Virgin Trains/Avanti West Coast from March 2019 to September 2022.

Before joining Virgin Trains, Adrian worked at Marks and Spencer as an Employee Communications Business Partner from March 2016 to March 2019. Adrian also worked at Pearson as a Change and Communications Manager, Technology from September 2015 to March 2016.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Communications Manager - Foreign and Commonwealth Office Account at ISS Facility Services Ltd from July 2014 to August 2015, and as a Communications Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways from October 2013 to July 2014.

Adrian has also held the position of Head of Communications at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust from February 2005 to April 2013, where they led a team and made decisions on various communications and health service management issues.

Additionally, Adrian served as a Communications Advisor at the Department of Health of UK from July 2009 to October 2010, where they led communications for the national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme.

Adrian started their career as a Communications Officer at Surrey Oaklands NHS Trust from May 2004 to January 2005, where they handled media relations, publications, and implemented the Trust's Communications Strategy.

Adrian's early experience includes working as a Communications Assistant at Kent and Medway Strategic Health Authority from August 2002 to May 2004, where they coordinated communications issues and managed the flow of communications between the government and front line NHS services.

Adrian Lowther obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing with a 2:1 classification from Solent University, where they attended from 1999 to 2002. Adrian pursued further education and earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Management from De Montfort University, completing their studies in 2008.
