Ciro Gardi

Ciro Gardi is a highly experienced Scientific Officer with a significant background in food safety and agricultural sciences, currently serving at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) since February 2015. Prior to this, Ciro held positions as a Senior Scientist at the University of Parma and as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission - Joint Research Center. With expertise developed through various roles, including engagement in the FP7 Project, Ciro has contributed to research efforts at the University of Parma and has a long-standing academic foundation that includes a PhD in Crop Science from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and additional studies in Soil Science and Crop Modeling at Washington State University. Ciro's education and professional experience reflect a deep commitment to understanding and improving agricultural practices and environmental stewardship.
