Daniel John Winteler

With a degree in Business Administration from the Bocconi University and postgraduate work at the London Business School, his entire managerial development path has been with leading international companies, both in Italy and abroad.

Following his years in Switzerland where he played a leading role in the Ciba-Sandoz merger that created Novartis, he returned to Italy in 2000 where he was CEO of a number of corporations, including IFIL SpA (currently Exor), the Alpitour Group and Miroglio, while also covering institutional responsibilities as the president of Federturismo Confindustria.

He has also been on the board of directors of many companies, including FIAT, Club Med, La Rinascente and Juventus.

Daniel is also professor of Advanced Management Practices in the Economics Department of the University of Turin.

His long and stellar professional career has included a number of sectors, from chemistry and pharmaceuticals to finance, tourism and hospitality, and textiles and fashion, as well as distribution and manufacturing
