Hermes Scandelli

Aerothermal Engineer at The Exploration Company

Hermes Scandelli is an Aerothermal Engineer at The Exploration Company since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Researcher Phd Candidate at Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers from 2019 to 2022. Their research focused on the development of porous materials for various technologies, such as heat exchangers, biofuel production processes, energy storage, and space vehicle heat shields. In 2018, Scandelli completed a Short Training Programme at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, where they developed an ablation model for atmospheric entry flows in the framework of a particle based solver.

Hermes Scandelli attended Politecnico di Milano from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering - Aerodynamics Course. From 2013 to 2016, they attended Politecnico di Milano and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. Hermes also obtained a High School Diploma from I.I.S \"A. Badoni\" - Lecco in 2013.
