Jon Reijneveld has worked in a variety of roles in the aerospace industry since 2009. In 2009, they were an exchange student at ETH Zurich, performing research on exoplanet detection. Jon also worked as a Student Assistant at Delft University of Technology, supervising three groups of students during a JAVA project. In 2010, they were an Intern at EADS Astrium, developing software and assisting in magnetic tests of flight hardware. In 2011, they were a Research Associate at both the SETI Institute and NASA Ames Research Center, where they participated in different leadership and group training exercises, and worked on an individual and a group project. From 2012 to 2018, they worked at Airbus Defence and Space as a System Engineer and Deputy Lead Systems Engineering Orion ESM. In 2021, they became Co-Founder & Chief Engineer of The Exploration Company.
Jon Reijneveld graduated with a BSc. in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2007. Jon then obtained a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering - Space Systems Engineering from the same university in 2012. In 2016, they completed a Master's degree in SpaceTech - Master in Business and Systems Engineering from Technische Universität Graz.
