J. Carl Ganter

J. Carl Ganter serves as the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Circle of Blue since January 2003, with extensive participation in water governance and environmental initiatives. Ganter is a Fellow at The Explorers Club, elected in 2023, and has founded and led Vector Center as CEO since August 2014, utilizing AI for situational awareness in global resource management. As a curator for the World Economic Forum's Water Transformation Maps, and a member of various councils including the Global Futures Council on Environment and Resource Security, Ganter drives multistakeholder efforts on food security and sustainable development. Additionally, Ganter holds advisory roles with Leaders on Purpose and the OECD, while maintaining a consultancy position with the Pacific Institute and directing MediaVia, a multimedia journalism firm. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Northwestern University.
