Kelly Shindler serves as the Executive Director of The Fabric Workshop and Museum since September 2024. Previously, Kelly held the position of Director of Exhibitions & Public Interpretation at The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage from September 2016 to September 2024, where responsibilities included directing a significant grantmaking area that allocated $6 million annually to arts and history organizations. Prior experience includes roles at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, where Kelly organized over 30 exhibitions as Associate Curator, and co-founding Package Deals, focusing on experimental film curation. Kelly also contributed to Art21 in various capacities, culminating as Director of Special Projects, and possesses advanced degrees in Art History and Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, along with a BA in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
