Jon Kenfield

Jon Kenfield has extensive work experience in the field of family business consulting and mediation. Jon co-founded The Family Business Institute in 2016, providing training, accreditation, and support for advisers working with family businesses. Before that, in 2013, they co-founded the Family Business Consultants Network. Since 1998, they have been an Accredited Adviser at Family Business Australia, helping families manage conflict and professionalize their operations. Prior to these roles, Jon worked at The Solutionist Group from 1994 to 2022, providing guidance on family conflict and business succession. Jon also worked at Dispute Solutions from 1994 to 2022, offering a range of dispute resolution services. Jon's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Litigation Support at Deloitte Australia from 1982 to 1993.

Jon Kenfield has a diverse education history spanning several decades. Jon pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from The University of Manchester, studying law from 1972 to 1975. Additionally, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Exeter in 1975-1976, focusing on secondary education and teaching.

In the field of accountancy, Jon Kenfield earned the designation of Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), completing their studies in 1982-1985. Later, they pursued another qualification as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, from 1986 to 2026.
