Donna Mahoney

Donna Mahoney is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Reflective Practitioner Supervisor at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where responsibilities include providing supervision to students through a Psychodynamic lens and collaborating with the Clinical Director. With extensive experience in academia, Donna has served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the same institution, teaching courses in Families, Couples and Marital Counseling, and Child and Adolescent Counseling. Previous roles include Contributing Faculty Member at Walden University and Director of Clinical Training at Argosy University, where Donna oversaw student placements, supervision, and taught graduate-level courses. A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Affective Counseling, Donna specializes in treating anxiety, phobias, OCD, and Complex Trauma in various settings. Donna earned a PhD in Psychotherapy and Counseling from the Institute for Clinical Social Work and a Master’s in Arts in Counseling from Loyola University Chicago.
