Lara Loewenstein

Lara Loewenstein is a Senior Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, having advanced through the roles of Research Economist II and Research Economist I since joining in June 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston from July 2014 to June 2018 and working as a Short Term Consultant at The World Bank from February 2015 to June 2016, focusing on global value chains. Earlier positions include internships in the Advanced Research Center at State Street Global Advisors and the Office of Economics at the United States International Trade Commission, where Lara engaged in research related to counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights. Lara Loewenstein holds a PhD in International Economics & Finance from Brandeis International Business School and a SAIS Diploma in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, along with a BS in Mathematics from UCLA.
