Willem van Zandweghe

Willem Van Zandweghe is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in central banking. Currently serving as Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland since June 2019, Willem has previously held the positions of Assistant Vice President and Senior Research Economist within the same institution. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Vice President and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City from June 2008 to May 2019, and an expert position at the Federal Planning Bureau from March 2001 to July 2003. Willem holds a PhD in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and has academic foundations from Kiel Institute for the World Economy and KU Leuven, where a Licentiaat in Economics was obtained.
