Breccan Thies

Breccan Thies is an accomplished journalist with a strong background in political reporting and investigations. Currently serving as an Elections Correspondent for The Federalist since August 2024, Breccan has previously held the position of Investigative Reporter at the Washington Examiner from April 2023 to August 2024. From March 2021 to March 2023, Breccan worked as a Reporter at Breitbart News Network. Prior experience includes a role as a Special Assistant for the White House Council on Environmental Quality within the Executive Office of the President, as well as positions in quality control and product development at Three Notch'd Brewing Company, LLC. Breccan also gained valuable insights into government operations through internships with the U.S. House of Representatives and the University of Virginia Center for Politics, alongside campaign roles for Jeb 2016, Inc. and Ed Gillespie for US Senate. Breccan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
